Dana and her 5-year-old Goldendoodle, Maynard, are the perfect example of that kind of love. With his sweet eyes and golden curls, Maynard isn’t just cute — he’s a true companion, and as Dana puts it, a lifesaver.

“Maynard came into my life when I needed him the most,” Dana shared. “I was going through multiple heavy situations in my personal life, and Maynard was, not only there with me for all the moments, but right by my side as a source of strength and support and love. He is the sunshine to my every day. He saves my spirit every day. He loves in a way I have never felt before. He is my soul dog.”

Maynard is not only loved at home — he’s also incredibly well cared for at West Ashley Veterinary Clinic, where the team knows just how special he is. You can feel how deeply Dana values every part of his life, from his health to the way she speaks about their bond. Their relationship is a reminder that sometimes our pets don’t just fit into our lives — they completely reshape them for the better; And as Dana says "I believe … in my heart … that Maynard is perfection on Earth. :)".
