We recommend arriving on time and camera-ready so we can make the most of your appointment. Because our sessions are scheduled carefully throughout the day, arriving promptly helps everything run smoothly and ensures you have the full experience we’ve designed for you.

When you arrive, you’ll first be welcomed into the camera room, where your portrait session begins. This is where the magic happens. We will guide you through posing, expression, and every detail so you never have to worry about knowing what to do. Whether your session includes family, children, pets, or just you, we will direct you every step of the way to create portraits that feel both timeless and meaningful.

Most portrait sessions last about 45 minutes. During that time, we focus on creating a variety of beautiful images while keeping the experience comfortable, relaxed, and enjoyable. Our studio is designed to make the process feel easy while still delivering artwork that feels elevated and personal.

After your session, you’ll be invited to relax in our lobby and enjoy refreshments while we prepare your portraits for your same-day viewing appointment. Then, you’ll meet with our Art Director in the theater room, where you’ll get to see your portraits and select your favorites the very same day.

Your First Portrait Session: Step by Step

Wondering what your first portrait session will be like? Here’s a simple look at what you can expect when you come into our studio.

Arrive on time and ready for the camera.
We encourage clients to arrive on time, dressed and camera-ready, so we can begin your session smoothly. Our studio schedule is thoughtfully planned, and being ready helps us give you the best possible experience.
Your session begins in the camera room.
Once you arrive, we’ll bring you into the camera room where your portrait session will take place. Don’t worry if you feel nervous or unsure—we will guide you through the process and direct you through posing and expression every step of the way.
Your portrait session lasts about 45 minutes.
Most sessions take approximately 45 minutes. During that time, we focus on creating a collection of portraits that are both beautiful and meaningful, while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable.
Relax in the lobby while we prepare your images.
After your session, you’ll have a short break in our lobby where you can sit back and enjoy refreshments while we get your portraits ready for viewing.
View and select your portraits the same day.
Once your images are prepared, you’ll meet with our Art Director in the theater room for your same-day viewing and ordering appointment. This is where you’ll see your portraits for the first time and select the images and artwork you love most.
We begin the process quickly because your portraits matter.
We know these portraits are important to you, which is why customer service is such a big part of what we do. We begin working on your portraits right away so that your artwork can move through the process as efficiently as possible.
