Best of Castelo is an annual print magazine dedicated to the sessions that moved us — the ones that stuck with us long after they ended. Each year, our editors immerse themselves in the full breadth of what Castelo has to offer, and distill it into a single definitive volume.
Think of it as a record of the best creative work, conversations, and moments of a year — beautifully designed, thoughtfully written, and made to last on a shelf.
The curation
150 sessions. Chosen from nearly 2,000.
For the inaugural 2026 edition, we reviewed close to 2,000 sessions across every category. Our editors flagged, debated, and revisited candidates over months. What remains are the 150 we simply couldn't leave out — sessions that represent the highest standard of what Castelo is capable of producing.
Every featured session includes editorial context explaining why it made the cut and what sets it apart.
The format
Print, designed to be read slowly
Best of Castelo 2026 will be published as a premium print magazine, with a companion digital edition. It is designed to be read at leisure — unhurried, somewhere comfortable — and to hold up as a keepsake long after the year has passed.
