From One of Ten to One in a Million: Wrinley’s Story

Cherlyn, Wrinley’s mom, said it best when she shared their story: “Wrinley’s Mom was a Pit, her Dad a beagle mix. Her Mom had 10 puppies. A friend was giving them away. We were going out of town so asked if they could possibly save her for us. They did! She was only 1 of two pups left. She has definitely changed our lives for the better!” And isn’t that just the heart of it? Sometimes the tiniest paws leave the biggest prints on our lives—and that’s what makes the Who Saved Who project so special. Of course, love like this is also made possible by the people who help keep our pets healthy and happy along the way—shoutout to Wrinley’s amazing vet team at White Knoll Veterinary Hospital in Lexington SC, who make sure she stays her happy, tail-wagging self.

Sometimes the best things in life come to us in the most unexpected ways. That’s exactly how Wrinley came into her family’s world. She wasn’t just a puppy in need of a home; she was the missing piece they didn’t even know they were waiting for. From the moment she arrived, she’s been spreading joy in the sweetest ways. And honestly, if you’ve ever had a dog curl up next to you after a long day, you know just how healing that kind of love can be. That’s really what our Who Saved Who project is all about...celebrating those bonds that change us forever.

When I look through Wrinley’s portraits, I don’t just see a dog sitting pretty for the camera, I see loyalty written in her eyes and a connection that can’t be staged. The way she leans into her girl, the way she looks up with so much trust…it gets me every time. I mean, who can resist that face? As a luxury pet portrait photographer, these are the moments I live for; the ones that go deeper than a photograph and become a memory you can hold onto forever.

And the best part? Wrinley isn’t just part of the family- she is family. That’s why I love pairing pet sessions with family and children’s portraits. It tells the whole story, people and paws all together. Seeing her girl all dressed up in her flowy pink dress, holding onto Wrinley with that big smile, just melts my heart. As a luxury kids portrait photographer, I want to create artwork that doesn’t just decorate your walls, but also reminds you of these fleeting, joy-filled seasons of life. Wrinley’s portraits do exactly that...they’re a little piece of forever.

The luxury portraits we created of Wrinley and her girl are a reminder of the laughter, comfort, and unconditional love that dogs bring into our lives. Their story is one of many that inspire our Who Saved Who project—a collection devoted to celebrating the bonds between people and their pets. If you have a story like theirs, we’d love to hear it. Click here to see if you’re a fit for this special project, because the love you share with your pet deserves to be beautifully remembered.
