MAY: Child Model - We all scream for Ice Cream!

May is here and we can't wait to work with a set of siblings for the May Model of the Month!

I'm always looking for new ideas and concepts to create stunning artwork and my favorite subject to work with is children! I also LOVE Norman Rockwell and am inspired by his work.... and ICE CREAM!!!!!!! Who doesn't love ICE CREAM? Children are beautiful and innocent and it's important to me to celebrate that while I can! The innocence is what makes my heart soar.

For May we have decided to do a styled shoot with . . . ICE CREAM! REAL ICE CREAM. We need siblings between the ages 4 years& 12 years - either a brother & a sister, brother & a brother, or a sister & a sister! We do EVERYTHING, we even get all the clothing! Apply below! We will stop taking applications April 30th at midnight! If your children are selected we will notify you May 3rd after our team has time to review applications :)

Picture this . . .

Imagine your children sharing Ice Cream on a bench. They are scooping from an antique ice cream maker. They are dressed and styled to a “T” - They have cones in their hands. Sharing & laughing AND AT THE END, as often in life they have a little "spat" - Someone gets upset and a little ice icream gets sacrificed. Its about the innocence, its about the memory, it's about the story. We provide EVERYTHING. All clothing, props and backdrops.... we even provide the ice cream! And yes... we also will do their hair :)

Our idea is inspired by one of my favorite artist's Norman Rockwell. He has created so many beautiful illustrations and paintings and has been an inspiration for so long! To create timeless portraiture has always been the idea the fuels the end result. What's more timeless than getting ice cream with your sibling? Sure, it can be messy and of course it melts quickly in the Charleston, SC heat, but it's always a delightful treat and one that so many people love! Whether you decide to get ice cream at Ye Old Fashioned just minutes from our studio or at Jeni's on King Street or to get a classic portrait of the kids eating ice cream here at the studio - it's always a great time and fun to be had!

What is Model of the Month?

Model of the month is ONE child (or sometimes a set of siblings) that we select for our Monthly Idea and Inspiration!

It is an opportunity for us to create beautiful portraits here in Charleston, SC within the realm of our imagination. It keeps my creative juices flowing as an artist and is a great opportunity for you to benefit on something new that no one else has!
