Selecting your clothing for a Portrait

I love traditional portraiture. It's no secret that I love seeing families dress up and creating that beautiful portrait or painting of them. In Charleston, SC, it is always a nice excuse to kick off the flip flops and shorts and dress up into a beautiful dress and do your make up! When you think about it, when are you ever getting dressed up like that? When are the kids ever going to look like that again? When are you ever going to take the time to do this again???? It's amazing to hear clients say "I never would have thought my family would look like that!!!" Your family is stunning. Your face is beautiful. Your children are adorable. I want to capture all the beauty. I want to show you the jaw dropping painting.

All of this does start with clothing! How should you dress your children or what color scheme should I do is often questions I get a lot. Before your session we talk about the look you're going for. I want to get the feel of your family. I want to help you capture exactly what you're imaging and love! We are talking constantly back and forth with outfit choices, Pinterest ideas of what you love, and depending on all of this and my conversation with you - I am sending you links to clothing! I am helping you along the way and sending ideas as well. If I don't have it here at the studio already, I am searching as well to make this an easy process. I want you to have fun and enjoy this experience! I want you to love what you see and that starts with the perfect outfit. Not only for you, but for your family as well.
