There’s something special about the way dogs show up for us. They bring comfort, laughter, and a kind of everyday magic we don’t even realize we need. For Rachel, that magic arrived in the form of Teddy, her sweet 1-year-old Yorkie Mix who quickly became the brightest part of her days.
In 2024, Rachel and her partner, Cory, welcomed Teddy into their lives. From the moment they met him, Teddy was full of charm—tiny in size but overflowing with personality. He was the kind of dog who instantly wiggled his way into your heart. Earlier this year, when life brought an unexpected and difficult change, everything felt different. Through that time, Teddy became an incredible source of comfort and consistency for Rachel. She shares: “When Cory passed away unexpectedly in February of this year, I was struggling badly. Teddy saves me every day. He keeps me going. He is just the sweetest, spunkiest little dog and just seeing his face makes my day better.”
Her words say it all—Teddy didn’t just become her companion.
He became her reason to smile again.
Teddy may not understand everything happening around him, but he understands Rachel. And in his own simple, joyful ways, he lifts her up daily. It’s the small things dogs can do, that make the biggest difference. For Rachel, Teddy has been a steady reminder that healing can come in unexpected ways—and sometimes from the smallest paws. Rachel made the drive from Myrtle Beach to be part of our Who Saved Who Project, bringing Teddy and their shared story of love, resilience, and companionship. This is why we are so passionate about creating fine art legacy prints. They go beyond photography—transforming moments, emotions, and connections into artwork that lasts a lifetime. We also want to give a special shoutout to Murrells Inlet Veterinary Hospital, where Teddy gets his care. They’ve been wonderful with him, keeping this little guy healthy, happy, and ready for every new adventure with Rachel.
For Rachel, these portraits of Teddy are a reminder of love, of strength, and of the little dog who helped her find her way forward.
Teddy may be small, but the impact he’s had on Rachel’s life is truly powerful. Their story is a gentle reminder that sometimes, the pets we welcome into our homes end up giving us more than we could ever imagine.
As their story keeps growing, one truth stands out: Teddy has become a heartbeat in Rachel’s world. Connections like theirs is the very reason we pour our hearts into the Who Saved Who Project.
If you have your own “Who Saved Who” story, we would be honored to help you celebrate it with fine art portraits that beautifully capture the heart of your bond.
