Some dogs just have a presence about them—and Clancy is one of those dogs. This session, part of our Who Saved Who portrait project, was a true celebration of the bond between Clancy and his human, Brooks. “Clancy is my first dog,” Brooks shared. “As a proud pet parent, he brings so much light and joy to myself and to others around him. And he definitely has a personality like no other. Whether it’s good days or bad, no matter what—he always brings a smile to my face.” It’s that kind of love and loyalty that inspired us to create this project in the first place.
Photographing Clancy was such a joy—he brought a calm, soulful energy to the studio, along with just enough playfulness to keep us all smiling behind the lens. His connection with Brooks was obvious in every look and quiet moment—they’ve become a team in every sense of the word. At our high-end portrait studio, we aim to do more than capture a moment—we tell the story behind the bond.
Who Saved Who is about more than rescue; it’s about those unshakable ties that get us through life’s ups and downs, and Clancy’s story is the perfect example of that. Clancy’s well-being is clearly a top priority, and we love seeing pet parents build a great care team around their companions. Brooks shared that Clancy receives his veterinary care from Banfield Pet Hospital in James Island, where the staff has been wonderful in helping keep Clancy healthy, happy, and thriving. It’s always a joy to hear about local vets who care as deeply as we do about the pets who mean the world to their people.
We’re honored to include Clancy in this series. The professional luxury portraits we created are a lasting tribute to the joy, healing, and companionship pets like him bring into our lives. If you have a story like Brooks and Clancy’s, we’d love to help you tell it. Reach out to see if you’re a fit for our Who Saved Who project—because the love you share with your pet deserves to live on your walls and in your heart.
“Sometimes, the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”
— A.A. Milne (Winnie the Pooh)
