Grace in Motion is our studio’s artistic exploration of dance portrayed through stillness—each image a visual poem; We believe that dance transcends performance: it’s pure art.
Dance isn’t merely movement—it’s an emotional, sculptural form. Our Grace in Motion project captures those poetic instants where strength, grace, and spirit unite. Rather than just freeze a leap, we seek the silent narrative in every hand, tilt of head, arch of spine. Dancers move, breathe, and create stories. We capture every breath, every gesture, every in-between moment. These aren’t performance poses they are fine art embodiments. Every frame reveals personality, vulnerability, and presence. Carefully designed lighting and minimal backgrounds allow the body’s lines to emerge like sculpture transforming each portrait into a gallery ready artwork.
As a fine art portrait photographer, and premiere portrait photography services provider, we offer beautifully printed art and gorgeous one of a kind paintings, which is our specialty! Whether you’re a contemporary dancer, ballet artist, or movement storyteller, this project invites you into a visual dialogue. Let’s create portraits where dance becomes painted light and form becomes art.
Reach out to apply and see if you fit our criteria to become a part of Grace in Motion, where every portrait echoes the artistry and emotion of true dance.

Watch our video below.... We'll be in touch if your dancer fits the age range and dance style we're still looking for.
Makayla, age 10, is an incredible young dancer who recently joined us in the studio. She trains in ballet at Derrick Ballet Conservatory in Beaufort, SC, and her grace and poise were truly inspiring to capture.

Below I explain the project . . .Â
Don’t mind the pajama pants—I just wanted to share a peek into my painting room and what I’ve been working on lately! I’m in the midst of a really special project that combines two of my favorite things: portraiture and dance. We’re curating a fine art unveiling at the end of the year that will showcase some hand-painted portraits and some digitally painted pieces of selected dancers, each captured in a unique moment of movement and expression. After photographing them in-studio, I choose my favorite image and begin transforming it into an oil painting. This current piece has been a joy to work on—it’s elegant, classic, and filled with emotion. Painting has always been my way of escaping life’s noise, and creating this series allows me to connect my own artistic voice with the expressive beauty of dance. If you know a dancer between the ages of 4 and 18 who might want to be part of this beautiful project, we’re still taking applications. I can’t wait for the unveiling and to share all the surprises we have in store!
