Who Saved Who: Sarah, Willy, and Bailey -

Some bonds are formed quietly—through years of companionship, shared routines, and unconditional love. For Sarah, that bond began with Willy.

Willy has been part of Sarah’s life since he was just 8 weeks old. Now a 16-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd, he has been her constant through life’s highs and lows. As Sarah shared, “He’s such a loyal love and has been with me through my darkest days and years.” Quirky and still full of life, Willy carries the kind of devotion only time can build.

Bailey entered Sarah’s life unexpectedly this past May during puppy dog yoga hosted by The Soulfish Center in partnership with Tidal Paws Rescue out of Myrtle Beach. She wasn’t planned—but she was meant to be.

Sarah remembers knowing right away: “Her soft demeanor pulled at my heart strings and I knew she’d be a perfect addition to Willy and I.”

Rescuing Bailey didn’t just change her life—it renewed Willy’s.

“Rescuing Bailey was not planned but it was the best decision because it has kept Willy young and gave him an extra pep in his step,” Sarah says. Willy stepped naturally into his role as big brother, guiding Bailey with patience and quiet confidence, while Bailey looks to him as her example of the good life waiting ahead.

We also extend a heartfelt thank-you to Meadowlawn Veterinary Hospital in Myrtle Beach for their ongoing care of Willy and Bailey. And Bailey’s journey wouldn’t be complete without recognizing those who helped bring her home—Tidal Paws Rescue and The Soulfish Center, whose collaboration created the moment that brought this family together.
